奧斯卡最佳男主角：馬修麥康納

奧斯卡金像獎最佳男主角揭曉，獲獎的是《藥命俱樂部》的馬修麥康納（Matthew McConaughey）。
他得獎致詞時，首先感謝上帝，因為任何成就「不是我的手或其他任何人的手做成的」。
他說，他的父親在天上也一定與他一道歡喜。他謝謝在場的母親，因為「她教導我和兄弟要尊重自己，也要尊重別人」。他謝謝妻子和3個孩子，「4個令我自豪的人」。
他最後說道，阿們，謝謝大家。
